From his dirty-blond hair and breathtaking smile, to the abs from heaven and the irresistible V in his waistline, everything about Bodi Olympic-gold-medalist Banks screams hot piece of @$$.

Yet there’s more.

Dark shadows lurk behind his soulful, serious eyes.

I’m enamored. He’s captured me.

How can running an art foundation with Bodi Banks turns into a slow-burning, epic romance, even though he tries to push me away at every chance? How can I stay away from a broken, routine-driven man whose soul cries to be forgiven for a crime only he believes he committed? Or is that a lie?

“You were brought to me to heal my heart’s scars.”

Stroked Long was an absolute pleasure to read. I found it wonderfully refreshing to find a hero in a current romance novel who isn’t an over the top alpha, but rather a gorgeously sensitive man, with a darker side and plenty of baggage. Someone I felt the strangest urge in my heart to just hug forever.

The major strength of Quinn’s writing (other than her crude sense of humour) is her ability to conceive characters that are utterly unique. In a lot of romance at the moment, the female character tends to be glossed over and have very little character, with the focus solely on making the hero as much of a hunk as possible. Instead, Quinn creates Ruby, a bumbling, clumsy, vintage-loving woman, just as interesting in her own right as Bodi is, with his obsessive tendencies. It was pure pleasure to immerse myself in their world and watch their sweet, insecure, yet utterly passionate relationship progress. What was even better was that due to the brilliant complexities of the characters, none of the angst was forced, instead seeming totally natural to the storyline.

Her vitality and giddy joyfulness provided light into my darkness, wrapping my heart in its warmth.

This second instalment to the Stroked series was in equal parts heartbreaking, sexy and hilarious. In particular, the way the two personalities interacted with one another and their banter, seen mainly through the absolutely random text message conversation – I have to admit to chortling through many of these. And panting through a particularly erotic phone sex scene.

“You look like a seventy-year old turtle trying to show off your camel toe.”

Here, Quinn proves once again that she is the queen of romantic comedy, despite dealing with a darker subject matter than normal. She pulls off something wonderful
