Mr. Big by Delancey Stewart

cover-mrbigOnce upon a time, I had everything: money, power, a multimillion-dollar company, a loving family. Well, at least I thought I had everything. Then my parents died, and I found out my whole life was based on a lie. That’s pretty much the moment when I went numb. Told the world to f*** off and went on a bender of epic proportion, just to see how far I could fall before I hit rock-bottom.

Now I’m back and all I want in this world is my morning—okay, afternoon—coffee. Then one of my employees has the nerve to call me out for cutting the line at the coffeehouse at the company I own. Sure, I’m a little scruffier than usual, but come on, bitching out the CEO? Not a smart career move. Just who does this smart-mouthed ball-buster think she is? And more important, what do I have to do to get her number?

Holland O’Dell may be uptight, but I wouldn’t mind taking her back to my place and ripping off that business-casual blouse/skirt combo and burying myself in her curves. She pushes my buttons, but at least I’m feeling something. And whatever it is, I won’t stop until I get more.

REVIEW: Hopechest by Kailee Reese Samuels

Compelling…

Finally the boy becomes a man in the fourth of this addictive series…gone is the submissive who is searching for his true self and in his place stands the dominant… Sal and Kaci have their story told in this book and there has seldom been a more conflicting emotional relationship than the one they are embarked upon..

Once again the author has created an enthralling read..the characters continue to grow and develop and at the heart is Kaci so unselfish and kind and Sal who faces so much sadness and loss…

I looked up the definition of a hope chest and realised immediately how perfect the title is for this final story…Sal has experienced so much over the course of the series..each one of the lessons he has learned and his stolen hopes, dreams, losses and disappointments are all being packed neatly away to be uncovered and utilised at a later time when they will provide him with the emotional strength to become something better, more worthy and prepared in the future.

This compelling story ends with Sal finally ready to take on his true mantle in Juliet….the journey is a harsh one but there is also an unspoken assurance that Sal has conquered so much, experienced so much that no matter what the future holds he has the capacity to find a way…This book was reviewed for Summer’s Eve Reads.

REVIEW: Grunt by Kailee Reese Samuels

Drama and consternation..

This third in the SOS series begins where Tea for Two ends…the rabbit hole that Sal the main character has fallen into just gets deeper and more twisted…… this story is becoming darker and edgier as Sal begins to harness his inner strength which is tested to the limit and beyond..

The author is such a skilled story teller and her writing style is original and engaging….the expansive imagined world she has created in this series is well describe and contains so many fascinating and diverse characters…Sal’s personality is developing and it is intriguing to see how he matures and faces his situation with grit and determination refusing to accept his fate..

Grunt was a fast paced dark story…..slowly but surely the drama and consternation is moulding this younger version of Sal into the man that inhabits Juliet, the novel….This book was reviewed for Summer’s Eve Reads.

REVIEW: Tea for Two by Kailee Reese Samuels

Dark and emotional…

Second in the SOS series …this book continues to follow Salvatore and his first tentative steps on the tortuous path to find love within the world of Juliet…. Berti is a lost and damaged soul and in so many ways Sal’s ideal match but there are hidden truths and manipulations behind the scene not everything and everyone are as they seem…

Once again the author has provided a wonderfully dark and emotional story..in this instalment of the series Sal demonstrates his strength of will to metamorphose in response to the need of the one he believes he loves….and for the first time he truly displays signs of the dominant alpha male he will become in later years…the author utilises multiple points of view to relate the narrative…this switching between the characters takes some getting used to and initially I found it confusing but on reflection I can recognise that it provides varied and valuable insights and perspectives on the events unfolding

This was a much more emotional book than Initiation….slowly but surely I find myself becoming more and more invested in Sal’s life and desperate for him to he find his HEA….This book was reviewed for Summer’s Eve Reads.

REVIEW: The Initiation by Kailee Reese Samuels

Compulsive reading…

This is the first book in the SOS series providing the back story to the characters first encountered in the authors debut novel Juliet….and wow does it pack a punch…the series follows the trials and tribulations of Salvatore and his search for love and acceptance….this first book introduces his character as he first enters the world of Juliet as a teenager…

This is a deliciously dark and twisted erotic story which centres around the world of BDSM and examines the choices and preferences that lead Salvatore down a path of pain and submission and beyond…Salvatore is so beautiful and conflicted I could not help but be captivated by him….in addition I loved the complexities of the world of Juliet and the myriad of beguiling
Characters with their own personal kinks and desires….

There is no doubt this story will not appeal to everyone so heed the warning given…for once the doors of Juliet are open the stories told within are disturbing but compulsive reading….This book was reviewed for Summer’s Eve Reads.

REVIEW: Grunt by Kailee Reese Samuels

Grunt was a well written fast paced truly captivating read, it is the third book in the series and to get the complete experience I’d recommend you read the first two I myself didn’t as this was my first time reading a book by this particular author and as a result it did take me some time to catch on but I was able to follow the journey Sal had been and was still going through.

Samuels has given us a wounded, tortured soul in the form of Salvatore Raniero who’d melt the pants of any female in a fifty mile radius of him without even really trying seriously he’s that good, this was a bit of a slightly darker at times read with some twists that will keep you on your toes wondering exactly where Samuels is going to take you.

Samuels shows us her impeccable writing skills throughout this book you could really feel the power and emotion behind every word written and the character development was amazing, I can’t wait to see what’s in-store next from this talented author but not before I check out the first two books in the series.
